Overview
The Peppered Butterflyfish is also called the Spotted Butterflyfish in reference to it's coloring--it is a white fish covered in small black spots.
In the wild, they eat coral polyps and algae, but in captivity they can be a fed a mix of live, frozen and specially formulated flake and pellet foods containing spirulina and plant matter. They will not do well in a reef tank due to their diet in the wild, but can be kept in a community fish tank. It will be aggressive towards other butterflyfish and should be the only one in the aquarium.
