Overview

The Kole Yellow-Eyed Tang is also simply called the Kole Tang, or sometimes the Bristletooth Tang due to the way it eats: scraping food off of the rocks with their comb-like teeth.

Like other tangs, they are active swimmers and need room to move. They should be provided live rock to hide in and to eat algae off of, and shouldn't damage invertebrates within a reef. Though they will nibble at carnivore foods provided for other fish, they should also be fed seaweed with algae and should mostly be eating plant-based meals. Though more peaceful than other tangs and surgeonfish, it should be the only one in the tank.
