Appearance:
- Mature Corydoras aeneus “Venezuela” develop an increasingly bright orange coloration along their backs, creating a striking contrast to the metallic blue-green colors along their sides.
- Males are slightly more intensely colored than females.
- Sexually mature females grow larger than males and have a broader, rounder body, especially during spawning when they are gravid.

Behavior and Care:
- These catfish are peaceful and gregarious, so it’s best to keep them in groups of at least 4 to 6 individuals.
- They are facultative air breathers, rising to the surface of the aquarium to gulp in air due to their modified, highly vascularized intestine.
