Overview
The Green Tiger Barb is a color variant of the popular Tiger Barb. Instead of being yellow and black with orange tipped fins, they are a vibrant iridescent emerald green, but still retain their orange fins.
They will appreciate a tank with plants and driftwood, however, there should still be plenty of open swimming space. Tiger Barbs should be kept in groups of at least 6 since they are a schooling fish. They are known fin nippers and should not be housed with any fish with long, flowing fins such as bettas, gouramis or angelfish. They will do well with faster moving, equally small and peaceful fish with shorter fins.
They should be fed a varied diet for optimal health that includes pellets, flakes, live and frozen foods that contain both vegetable matter and meat.
