Overview

Shrimp should be housed in an established, planted tank. While they are not as sensitive or delicate as many other shrimp species, nitrate and ammonia free water is still essential for their health. They can be kept in a group in a species only tank or housed with peaceful fish that won't view them as a meal. 

If there is not enough food available for them to scavenge, they can be supplemented with special shrimp diets, pellets or high quality flake foods.
