Overview
The Carberryi Anthias is also commonly called Threadfin Anthias. The body is a yellow color and the top of the head and face is purple with a single yellow or orange stripe. Males display more purple than females.
The aquarium should be large enough for a group of them and feature lots of open swimming space and a few hiding places. They can also be kept with other species of anthias and small, peaceful community fish. They are an ideal reef fish. They should be fed live, frozen and high quality pellet and flake foods in small portions throughout the day.
Carberryi Anthias are a hermaphrodite species--they are all hatched out as females and the most dominant female within the group becomes a male. If the male dies, he is replaced in the same manner.
